Vectorworks for College Students
Vectorworks software is rapidly becoming the industry standard for many design streams. Indeed, we are often able to help out recent graduates with instant training and a certificate, without which they are unable to get a job interview!
But, did you know that as a student, you are able to get access to the Vectorworks software free of charge? Students on recognised courses are able to use Vectorworks for their coursework and assignments, giving them a huge advantage when applying for work at the end of the course.
To apply for a student licence, please visit:
The Student Portal at Nemetschek Vectorworks, Inc.
You will be required to provide evidence of your student status on a valid course. Please note that here at Design Software Solutions, we have no control over this process or any decisions over eligibility. However, we would be delighted to talk to your course manager if you would like to learn more about Vectorworks and how it could benefit your studies and your future career. We regularly visit colleges to do this and would be happy to come to yours!
We've put together a document to guide you through the process. Click here to download a PDF copy.
Once your licence has expired, you will no longer have access to the software unless you purchase a commercial licence. If you are in any doubt as to the expiry time for your licence, choose Tools > Options > Vectorworks Preferences within Vectorworks, click on Sessions and click Serial Numbers. This will tell you the expiry date of your licence.
If you are still studying at the time of expiry, you are entitled to apply for an extension to your licence. Again, you will need to login to the student portal using the link above and show evidence of your continuing studies.
